Gabrielle "Gaye" Edlund (nee Howard)

Born August 29th, 1940

Gaye passed away quietly at the ProHealth Regency living facility on January 26, 2026 at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of 56 years, Ron Edlund and brothers Mike and Tony Howard. Her surviving children include daughter Mollie (Edlund) and Dale Fischer, stepsons Steve Edlund and Scott Edlund grandchildren Joshua and Lacie Edlund, Erika (Edlund) Bathke, Ethan and Morgan Fischer, and great granddaughter Adelina Edlund.

She was born and raised in Watertown Wisconsin and left to care for others at a hospital in Milwaukee where she met Ron, the love of her life. When they were married, she took on the role of caring for others in both work and family, and she loved her children endlessly.

In her spare time, she enjoyed the handcrafting hobbies like knitting and sewing, and she had a deep love for nature.

Springtime and the rival of songbirds drew her to the outside porch in her better years to admire the beauty of the world around her. Although nature was deep in her soul it was family and pets, she loved the most.

We will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 4th, 2026, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd. (Corner of Hwy J & JJ) from 5-6:30PM with a Funeral Service at 6:30PM. Interment Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Waukesha Humane Society appreciated.
