Gary Lloyd Barner, 82 yrs old of Round Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born April 2, 1942, Gary dedicated 23 years of his life to the United States Air Force, serving with honor during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1972. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he retired as a respected member of the United States Air Force. In 1976, Gary married the love of his life, Rosemary Judith Barner. Their 48-year marriage was blessed with three children: an eldest son Douglas and twins Andrew and Jennifer. He is survived by one brother Wayne Barner, of Virginia. Gary was also a proud Grandfather to 11 grandchildren, cherishing each moment spent with them. He was predeceased by his beloved granddaughter, Caroline Joy Barner, who passed away in 2011.
Gary's life was characterized by his deep love for his family and his dedication to his country. He was a hardworking man who worked tirelessly to help provide for his family. He had a love for many things, photography, wood working, painting, pottery and nature. He will be remembered as devoted loving husband, father, grandfather and a true patriot. His legacy of service and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held in honor of Gary at his home of 38 years in Round Rock, Texas on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Stand Up to Cancer at Gary Barner's fundraising page http://fundraise.standuptocancer.org/fundraiser/6171122
