Gary E. Bouley 71 passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. He was the husband of Carol A. (Fredette) Bouley, they had been married for 23 years prior to his passing. Born in Waltham Massachusetts, he was the son of Arlene (McGuinness) and the late Robert Bouley.

Gary proudly served in the United States Army Active Duty for 3 years, followed by serving in the National Guard. He was a member of the 82 Airbourne. Gary was assigned to Company A 2nd Battalion Special Forces (Green Beret), retiring after 37 years as a Master Sergeant.

He proudly served as a Correctional Officer for the RI Department of Corrections for 31 years.

Besides his wife and mother Gary is survived by his stepdaughters Stacy Young, Susan Serpa, and her husband Jason. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Michael, Tyler, Ella-Rose, and Stacy Carol. He was the brother of Linda Bouley, Rita Bouley Barker, her husband John Barker, Robynne Alber, her husband Brian, and Michelle Bouley. He was the brother-in-law of Alan Fredette, his wife Wendy, and Steven Fredette, his wife Karen. He also leaves his Godson, Connor Bouley Emmett as well as 4 nephews and a niece.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 5, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
