Gary Bowie Obituary
He was born to the late Albert and Jessie Bowie on February 7, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, James "Danny" Bowie, Albert Bowie, and his sister, Patricia Reddin. He worked for the City of Memphis Police Department as a Master Mechanic for 25 years.
Gary is survived by his daughters, Michelle McConnell (Daryl), Melissa Hicks (Jimmy); grandchildren, Holden McConnell, Abigail McConnell, Tanner Hicks, Braden Hicks, Nolan Hicks; and his brother, John "Buddy" Bowie (Glenda).
Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Gary's honor.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, February 26 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
