Harriet Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Feb. 16, 2026.
Harriet Jane Bolerjack Davis entered the presence of her Savior on February 12, 2026, surrounded by the peace she so deeply cherished.

Born on April 11, 1942, in Waverly, Tennessee, to Frances Jane and William Harry Bolerjack, Harriet lived a life marked by devotion-to her faith, her family, and her friends. She graduated from Bartlett High School and Jefferson School of Commerce in Charlottesville, Virginia, and also attended the University of Tennessee at Martin.

In 1967, she married the love of her life, Samuel Ragland Davis II, in Memphis, Tennessee. They were blessed with two daughters, Samantha Jane Davis Slade (George) and Holly Ragland Davis Smart (Neil). Nothing brought Harriet greater joy than being "Nana" to Jane Davis Slade, Samuel Anderson, Mary Allen Anderson, and Hal Slade. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Harriet worked for Texas International Airlines before dedicating herself fully to her family. She was an active and faithful presence at Whitehaven Presbyterian Day School and Memphis Preparatory School. An enthusiastic tennis player and longtime member of Whitehaven, Chickasaw, and Germantown Country Clubs, she treasured both the competition and the friendships formed there. She also gave generously of her time volunteering at Memphis Union Mission and the Mariah House.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 40 years, her granddaughter, Angel Grace Anderson, and her sisters, Betty Jean Davis and Nancy Ann Thomas.

Harriet's unwavering faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord deeply, and her family finds great comfort in knowing she is now "sparkling" at the feet of Jesus. Her faith has become sight, and she has surely heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at 12:30, with the service immediately following at 1:30. Eastpoint Church, 2860 Craft Road, Olive Branch, MS. 38654
