Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at the age of 73 years, following a long battle with Parkinsons.
He was born in Saginaw, on March 11, 1951, the son of the late Ralph and Ila (Rohde) Braley.
Gary graduated from Hemlock High School, class of 1969. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and joined the Navy Choir. On his return, he met his love, Gail Campbell. They were united in marriage on September 15, 1973, at St. Mary Church in Hemlock, where he was a faithful member and served as an usher. Together they built a life and raised three beautiful children.
Gary retired from Delphi after 35 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Detroit and University of Michigan Sports. He loved playing fast-pitch softball, bowling with his buddies, and running with his dog Maxwell. Most of all, he loved going to his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gail Braley; three children and their spouses Angela and Paul Sebald, Dustin and Meghan Braley, and Aaron Braley and Ashley Reppuhn-Braley; six grandchildren Haley Sebald, Josie Sebald, Drake Lopez, Beckam Braley, Lydia Sebald, and Eli Braley; brother Wayne Braley; cousin and dear friend Edward Braley; and in-laws Gary and Marilyn Campbell, David Campbell, and Paul and Terri Campbell.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Ila Braley; sister Cheryl Braley; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dick and Rose Campbell; and sister-in-law Mary Campbell.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant Visiting Nurses and Toni and Trish House.
