Gary Buckwalter Obituary

Gary C. Buckwalter, 72 of New Providence went home to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on June 27, 2014. Born in Conestoga, on July 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Clayton H. and Erma Eshleman Buckwalter. He was the husband of Carol A. Buckwalter with whom he married on January 11, 1975. Gary had worked as a truck driver for Duie Pyle and most recently in the orchards for Cherry Hill Orchards, Lancaster. His true calling was ministry where he was a church planner for Independent Bible Churches. He was a member of Community Bible Church, Leola. Gary is survived by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Karen (Jared) Gipe of Windsor and his son, Mark (Seranda) Buckwalter of Lancaster. He is also survived by his grandson, Jordan; his granddaughter, Liberty and sisters Gwen Cauler and Carol Ann Sellers, both of Conestoga. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Gary's funeral services on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Colemanville United Methodist Church, 210 Colemanville Church Rd., Conestoga, PA with Pastor John E. Duty officiating. Interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday. Please omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances may be made in Gary's memory to Community Bible Church, 169 E. Main St., Leola, PA 17540 or to Hospice and Community Care.
