Gary was instrumental in bringing Waffle House to Bowdon. He was one of the best people that I have worked with and his loss is being deeply felt here. I am greatly saddened that he will not be there with me on opening day. My sincerest condolence to everyone impacted by this tragic loss.

Sincerely,
Robert Alley

Gary became a close friend of Bobby Arnold while at Tampa Electric. I also worked with Bobby at Tampa Electric and when I decided to leave, I got a call from Gary Bullock who had heard from Bobby that I wanted to move to Georgia. One visit to Carrollton and Gary hired me on the spot. He was my sponsor, mentor and treated me like a son after my father passed. Working for Gary was a monumental change in my life. His values of honesty and truthfulness will remain forever with me. I am successful today because of Gary. Kay I will miss him so much. No doubt God in Heaven will welcome him with open arms.

I first met Gary when I moved to Auburndale during my sophomore year of high school. I was like a "fish out of water" as a new student. True to Gary's nature and character he made sure I "belonged." We went our separate ways, but each time we met up over the years it was as if we had seen one another the day before. My prayers and thoughts to the family. May you experience the strength and peach of the Lord during these days.

Gary was so passionate and loving for the children at KidsPeace in Bowdon. I remember we were having a Field Day and the dinner was in conflict with another appointment he had to attend. He came by at lunch to give us his apologies in person. He was in a hurry but said, I can't make dinner but I'll take one of those ham sandwiches and tea to go with that smile and laugh he had. As important as he was, he always made you feel you were the important one and he was just the guy next door having a conversation with you.
I will miss him dearly - there was and will always be only one Gary Bullock! My heartfelt condolences to Kay and the family.
