Gary Randell Burks, Jr., better known as "Randy" or "Doc", age 57, passed away at his residence on Friday, October 11, 2024. He was born on April 21, 1967, in Nashville, TN to the late Patsy Jean Guenter LaRose and Gary Randell Burks, Sr. Randy loved riding his bike, fishing, mudding in his jeep and in his pass time, he enjoyed shooting pool and good Crawfish Boil. He was a Highly Decorated war Veteran. Served in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan Burks; Children- Dakota Allen (Alexandria), Kaytlin Burks Lowery, Trey Burks (Jessica), Keira Burks and Kaylee Burks; grandchildren, Cailyn Dalton, Khloe Dalton,Kenzie Lowery, Liliana Lowery, Kelley Matthews, Connor Burks, Peyton Lowery, Garrett Lowery,Caroline Lowery and Addison Lowery; Brothers, Sean McIllwain (Roseanna) and Daniel McIllwain (Jennifer) and Chris Burks; Sister, Misty Stockton; Nephews, Tyler Davis, Chase McIllwain, Cole Jones and Danta Cassinelli; Nieces, Lauren McIllwain, Veronika Jones McKlean, Victora Jones, Bailee McIllwain, Megan McIllwain Stone, Natasha Stockton, Abigale McIllwain and Ezzy Cassinelli; and Uncle Roy Guentner.
Along with his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lily Guentner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P:M. with Bro. Jr Hartup officiating the service.
