Gary T. Carbaugh, 61, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 8, 1964, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Gary Hill and Betty Jane Carbaugh.
He was a graduate of James Buchanan High School and then went on to work for Service Tire Truck Centers, Dice’s Tire, and then was employed as a custodian at Stevens Elementary School at CASD. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, vacationing to Myrtle Beach, working on cars, hunting, and frequently lending a helping hand to his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Lisa; son Cody; daughter April; brothers Paul and Billy; brother-in-law Kevin Helman; aunt Laura Gelwicks (Husband Dave); aunt Tina (Carbaugh) Bracken (husband Jess); Ralph Carbaugh (wife Darlene); In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two uncles Paul and Joe Carbaugh.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
