Gary D. Carpenter went peacefully into the arms of the Lord, October 18, 2023, after a valiant fight against pain and Parkinson's. He was born May 10th, 1944, to the late Arnold & Mabel Carpenter. He married his beloved, Ellen (Hillegas), on April 22, 1967. Gary was an avid hunter & fisherman, enjoyed marbles & cards, & had a great sense of humor. He was employed at Central Paper (Intertape) & retired after 42 years. Gary loved the Lord, & along with Ellen, volunteered at Ruth's pantry Winchester, Neenah Salvation Army pantry, & Christmas programs, & Prison Ministry @ OSCI for over 33 yrs. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen, of 56 years, daughters, Sonya (John) Stilp, Caralee Carpenter, & Jenel (Aaron) Raschka, grandchildren; Karlene Wilson, Abby (Corey) Weldon, Catie Raschka; JJ, Isaiah, & Mark Stilp, Cassey (Phillip) Albers, & 1 expected great grandchild. Further survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends & 7 Godchildren. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers & sisters. Funeral will be November 4th at Community Church Oshkosh, 2351 Ryf Rd. @ 11am with Pastor Alan Cleveland officiating. Visitation starts at 9am till time of service, with lunch to follow. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Special thanks for the great care at AMC & the Hospice Team who showed Gary such wonderful kindnesses.
