Gary M. Carpin

Gary M. Carpin, age 61, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in St. Mary's, PA on May 10, 1962, the son of John and Shirley R. (Beimel) Jordan of Erie and Vincent D. Carpin of Florida.
Gary had been employed for many years as an auto body repair technician. Although he had no children of his own, he was a favorite uncle to 18 nieces and nephews, and a great uncle to another 43. He was the type of guy that would give you his last dollar if you needed it and was often the one the family called for help with car repairs. His greatest passion was his family.
Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Carpin and his stepfather Jack Jordan, who raised him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his four siblings: Vincent Carpin (Mary), Daniel Carpin (Kelly), Diane Steenrod, and Mary Rivera (Kevin); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.), on Tuesday, July 18th from 9 am until the time of a Memorial Service to be conducted there at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Raymond Hahn. Gary will be privately laid to rest at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
