Gary Chrostowski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors- Milford on Mar. 18, 2025.
Gary Allen Chrostowski - age 65, of South Lyon, MI, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital in Novi, surrounded by family. Gary was born on February 4, 1960 in Detroit, the beloved son of Edmund and Bernice Chrostowski.
Gary was a family man with a big heart, always generous and thinking of others. He enjoyed cooking, sharing recipes with loved ones, listening to Polish music and keeping up with family traditions. Cooking wasn't just a hobby for Gary-it was an act of love. He was always happiest when he could share a meal with the people he cared about. Gary was also a man of simple joys and had a love for animals, the outdoors and farming. During his youth, he enjoyed many summers in Pennsylvania where he worked on his family's dairy farm and learned the value of hard work and dedication.
More than anything, Gary was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a quiet kindness about him, always ready with a warm smile, a helping hand or a quick-witted remark that would make you laugh when you least expected it. His presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his loving father and mother, Edmund and Bernice Chrostowski.
Surviving are: his 3 beloved siblings, Ed Chrostowski (Shirley), Jim Chrostowski (Karen) and Linda Michael (Jeff), along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who adored him.
Gary had a soft spot for animals, especially his dogs he loved so dearly. To honor his love for them, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Livingston County Animal Shelter in lieu of flowers.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date.
