Peter Chrostowski, 89, of Erie, passed away, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home after a brief illness. He was born September 20, 1936 in Erie, PA, a son of the late Peter and Josephine (Krupinski) Chrostowski.
He enjoyed polka music, polka dancing, and going to the casino.
Peter was a devoted family man, taking immense pride in following the activities and milestones of his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn P. (Lachowski) Chrostowski; two sisters, Mary Ann Ganzer and Delphine Ebert; daughter, Paula Lachesky; son-in-law, Robert Lachesky; and grandson, Steven Pettinato.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Storten (John) and Marie Gray; two sons, Kenneth Chrostowski (Natalie) and Richard Chrostowski (Laurie); and two sisters, Christine Kierzek and Elizabeth Dalton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc, 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
