Gary Dale Cleek

Gary Dale Cleek, age 68, of Shelbyville, passed from this life on Sunday, March 2, 2025, under the care of Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, TN.
Born on September 15, 1956, in Winchester, TN, Dale was a son to the late Willard Dewey Cleek and Katherine Josephine Stewart Cleek.
Dale, known affectionately as "Chief" to his friends and "Andaddy" to his grandchildren, initially earned a living as a dairy farmer and an experienced tobacco farmer. Then later in life he raised beef cattle. All of which are a testament to his hardworking nature. A man of great faith and inner strength, Dale's grit and determination were only matched by the love, affection, and steadfast devotion he had for his family and friends. He was a pillar of love and support to all who knew him, always showing up when needed. Most of all, Dale was known for his wonderful laugh, his wry wit, loving demeanor, and his unwavering dedication to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
In his leisure time, Dale enjoyed growing a vegetable garden and woodworking, hobbies that reflected his love for nurturing life and creating with his hands. Above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a faithful member of Living Stones Community Church.
Dale is survived by his wife of 17 years, Becky Parker Cleek of Shelbyville; his children, Gary (Lindsey) Cleek, Jr. of Murfreesboro, Kisha (Jacob Stein) Ledlow of MD, Jennifer (Wes) Price of Shelbyville, Chris Presley of Lynchburg, Brad (Julia) Presley of Estill Springs, and David Presley of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Sofia, Heidi, Brice, Carlie, Abrielle, Ian, Coby, Blaise, and Heath; great-grandchild, Josie; brothers, Kenneth Joe Cleek of Shelbyville, and Ricky Willard (Donna M.) Cleek of Murfreesboro; and nephew, Cody.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Living Stones Community Church with Bro. Eddie Reed, Bro. Jay Pope, and Bro. David Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home.
