Born May 19, 1945, Pauline Cleek passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Pauline or "Polly" as she was known to those close to her, was an animal lover with a strong affinity for dogs and horses. Her dog Mimi was her 6th child. She loved jewelry, antiques, scary movies, and playing video poker with her best friend Karen in Las Vegas. She dedicated her life to caring for others, both at home and through her 30+ year career as a Registered Nurse. This nurturing role came naturally to a caring and selfless soul such as Polly. Most of all, she loved her family.
She was the beloved mother of Fred Hamm, David Hamm, Theresa Hamm, Michael Reyes and Robert Reyes; loving daughter of the late Evelyn and Chester Lindquist; dear sister of Timothy (Gayla) Lindquist, the late Gene Lindquist, Valerie (William) Betke, Mark Lindquist, the late Don and Terry Lindquist; caring and devoted wife to the late Michael Cleek. She is survived by her adoring children, as well as grandchildren Ashley, Edward, Jade, Sarah and Abby Hamm, Kaity Bumphrey and great granddaughters Evalyn Arrowsmith and Hazel Bumphrey.
A visitation will be held Monday, from 3-8PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. A funeral service will begin at 5PM. Interment private. For info, 847-359-8020.
