There are no words that can express how much your friendship, spiritual guidance and musical mentorship meant to me in my life as a member of "The Way "in the beginnings of CCM. You and all the members of "Love Song "literally took us under your wings and I will be forever grateful for that chapter in my life. May you rest in the arms of God until we meet up again and may God's comfort surround Karen and your entire family

Chuck Girard was the first Christian album that I bought (through the mail via Word Records in Waco, Texas) back in the 70's after being saved in 1972 at the age of 22. Years later after moving to Phoenix, Arizona Chuck and the other guys came to Calvary Church Phoenix to perform. I brought my 2 vinyls and all the guys signed them for me. They are still one of my favorite Christian groups today. Rest in the Savior's arms Chuck.

I listened like crazy to his beautiful music. Sometimes Alleluia was constantly being played on the radio. My earliest memories of being a Christian were formed with his music. I thought his melodies and his songwriting skills were incredible. He genuinely paved the way for other musicians to make music that spread God´s message of love and compassion. His contribution is truly immeasurable. A very sad day for Christian music. RIP Chuck, you are missed and much appreciated.

I was blessed to have discovered Chuck's music just in the last few years as it was featured in the Jesus Revolution movie. It's been really inspiring to learn about the influence that he's had on my life without me having known it until recently through the lineage of Christian artists that have contributed to my development as a disciple of Jesus and as an artist. I'm encouraged to have his example of faithfulness, and to see that he finished well. To God be the glory!

Condolences to the Girard family with the passing away of Chuck Girard. His music and faith had a big impact on me and many others from way back in the 1970's to now. I still listen to his songs through YT and had the Love Song albums back in the day. I know that he was well taken care of with Hospice and may he rest in peace.

I was so blessed that Chuck and I had some correspondence only two years ago and he agreed to give me permission to include his song lyrics in my book, To the New Creation. My book was largely influenced by many years of listening to Chuck´s music. It´s always a shock to hear when someone passes but I am so very happy for our brother to be standing with Jesus, the one he worshipped. Thank You, Lord, for Your dear servant and the impact he had on my life. Donna Lee Batty, Australia.

Always loved listening to Chuck's music and his preaching the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "Love Song" was a great influence during the beginning of our street ministry in the early 1970s. We often played his music during street ministry in Camden, NJ, nursing homes and prison ministry, and around our home. Praise the Lord for his service to God's Kingdom work. See you in the resurrection dear brother!

I became a fan of Love Song very early in my Christian life in the 70s. Their first album with the eye catching cover caught my eye and I knew the music just * had* to good. And it was ,of course. I wrote to Chuck many times and it was always a delight to receive his replies in his distinctive envelopes.
I finally got to meet him when he toured Australia. He made a half hour TV show in Sydney for Christian Television. I was thrilled to be in the studio for the filming.
Chuck's albums were outstanding, and a real blessing. His memory and music will live on

I´ve been listening to Love Song & Chuck´s solo songs since 1970s at Calvary Chapel, concerts, CC beach gatherings to present. I later contacted Karen to order all of Chucks´s CDs after having their LPs after seeing Love Song years later. Chuck visited Visalia several times. I´ve given Chuck´s LPs/CDs to friends as gifts the past 5 decades! They are classic & still a blessing to many of us. My condolences to Karen & family. Chuck´s songs will live on in our hearts! I can´t wait to see the docuseries on Prime video on 9/19/25!

Having been a Love Song fan from the early `70s, I was greatly privileged to spend significant time with Chuck in his later years whenever he´d come to western Canada for concerts. CHUCK CONSCIENTIOUSLY AND CONSISTENTLY LIVED WHAT HE SANG!! I am much the richer for our friendship!

Chuck´s testimony and his ability to create gospel changing music was a gift that many of us will always treasure. His love for God lives on through his music. This "Little Pilgrim" helped to influence and change lives through his talent and abilities. Looking forward to seeing Chuck here there or in the air. Condolences to his family and close friends. I met him at a free concert in ogden, Utah. You could see Jesus Love in his eyes. " Thank you Lord that he´ll be with you forever".

I was 15 when I first saw Chuck with Love Song in 1972. Their debut album was about to be released and I waited with much anticipation for it. It is still my #1 desert island album. I was blessed to see Love Song many times in the early 70s and, later on, Chuck as a solo artist. Influenced by piano-based songs such as Feel the Love, Freedom and Little Pilgrim, Chuck was my very first inspiration to teach myself to play the piano; something I have done now for 50 years. It was a joy to bring Chuck to our church in 1997 for a weekend of music and ministry. He also helped me put together the very first Love Song website in 1995. I shall always cherish his music and our friendship and look forward to seeing him again in "heavenly places" one day. RIP, rock 'n roll preacher!

The first song I heard Love Song sing was "Little Country Church", it had such a great hook and yes, I was hooked! They were the first band to start the Christian Music Revolution and so many great bands followed.
Thank you Chuck and Love Song for hearing The Call and acting upon it. You led so many to Christ with your music and words of encouragement, never to be forgotten and then, Paradise!
I bless your memory and am ever thankful and grateful for all the memories!

One of the pioneers of CCM in the 1970s. "Sometimes Alleluia" is a praise and worship classic, but Chuck could rock it out, too ("Rock and Roll Preacher," "I Remember"). Now he's praising the Lord face to face. Prayers for his family.
