Gary Dennis Cropper

Gary Dennis Cropper, age 78, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, at Hospice of Hope in Maysville, KY.
Gary was born January 2nd, 1948 in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Alexander James and Lena Cropper.
Gary cherished his time with his wife of 52 years. Was a believer in God. He enjoyed yard sales and shopping at Goodwill, his favorite store. He had a passion for car shows and cherished moments spent with his family. Also enjoyed collecting vehicle's he was going to fix one day. Gary was a fan of the TV show "Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith." He loved reminiscing about the past, watching his grandson race at Mudlick, and FaceTime with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife Rita Faye Cropper. One son Gary James Cropper; Two brothers, Bill Cropper & John Cropper.
Gary is survived by two sons, Michael Cropper (LaCassa) of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Kurt (Alicia) Cropper of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one daughter, Delta Pruitt of Vanceburg, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, Dedrea, Dustin, Gabby, Gracey, Gage, Everleigh, Daniel; 3 great-grandchildren, Michael, Henry, Emerson.One sister Linda Sue Cropper (John Hilyard) of Utah. Along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky, with Brother Phillip Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Burtonville Cemetery in Lewis County.
Friends may visit after 12:30 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2026, until the service hour at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Kurt Cropper, Michael Cropper, Gage Cropper, Dustin Stone, Michael Scott and Cole Cooper will serve as pallbearers.
