Gary Randy "Crawdad" Davis

Mr. Gary Randy “Crawdad” Davis, age 71 of Millwood, Ga. passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Ga. following an extended illness.

 

Mr. Davis was born August 11, 1952, in Homerville, Ga., son of the late Elton and Elouise Adams Davis. He had made his home in Millwood and Waycross and was retired from CSX Railroad as a Car Inspector. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, baseball and softball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step grandson, Bobby Blue Smith.

 

Survivors include:

2 Sons: Mark Davis and wife Crystal of Millwood, Ga.

             Clint Davis and wife Nicole of Waycross, Ga.

 

Daughter:  Julieann Davis of Key West, Fl.

 

Sister:  Diane Sweat of Millwood, Ga.

 

9 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. 

 

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Davis were held on Monday, June 03, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Axson Cemetery with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Special musical selections included “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High” by cd. The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery.

 

Serving as active pallbearers were Larry Thrift, Michael O’Brien, D. J. Leavens, Eddie Thrift, Lamar Davis and Brian Beverly. Honorary pallbearers were Don Mullis, and Rufus Douglas.

 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
