Gary Deso Obituary
He was predeceased by his wife Lori E. (Garneau) Deso, in September of 2024. He leaves his mother, Ann M. (Leary) Deso, of Auburn; his brothers, Robert E. "Bob" Deso, Jr. and his wife Susan, of Auburn, Brian Deso and his wife Joanne, of Auburn, and Michael Deso and his wife Colleen, of Charlton; his nephews and niece: Tim, Joel, John, Samantha, Danny, Colin, and Liam; along with several aunts and uncles, his neighbor Randy Kusy, and his beloved feline companion, Muffin.
Gary was born in Worcester, son of Ann (Leary) Deso and the late Robert E. Deso, Sr. He was raised in Rochdale alongside his three brothers, and grew up fishing and playing Little League in town. The Deso family then moved to Auburn in 1968, and Gary graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton, where he was on the football team. He went on to have a lengthy career at Morgan Construction Company, working in the Maintenance Department. He retired after dedicating 30 years or so to the company.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and his animals – he especially adored Muffin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Gary's love of animals to either Second Chance Animal Services (https://www.secondchanceanimals.org/) or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League (www.worcesterarl.org/donate).
The Deso family will be celebrating Gary's life privately, with the assistance of the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn.

I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Gary was such a great guy and friend.
I'm so thankful that I was able to spend an afternoon with him while he was in rehab. He was so anxious to get out of there and get home to Muffin. At least he was able to do that.
I have so many fond memories of Gary. The most are from when we all lived on Southbridge St. Gary, Lori, Don and me. There was never a dull moment. We had some wild and crazy times there but they were all fun and happy. Those memories will remain with me forever.
May he rest in peace.
