Gary Eugene Diggs was born on October 1, 1941 in New Point, Missouri to Fred L. and Jessie Lou (Newton) Diggs.
As a child Gary lived in Graham, Skidmore, and Maitland. He graduated from Mound City High School, and then, like his father, worked as a carpenter. He lived a number of years in Nevada, MO, and also lived in Walker, MO, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Mound City, MO.
Gary passed away on Dec. 12, 2025 at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lou Diggs; and by a sister, Anita Brown.
Survivors include his brothers, Terry Diggs and Bradley Diggs; sister, Linda Fairchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private family services will be held at a later date, with inurnment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore.
