Chamberlain Funeral Home & Monuments, LLC - Mound CityGerald Glenn Reynolds was born in Forest City on June 25, 1934. He was one of five children of William Harry and Inez Frances (Hays) Reynolds.
Jerry attended Brush College elementary school and graduated from Forest City High School.
On May 15, 1955 he married Jeannie Hanner in Oregon, Missouri. In 1957 Jerry entered the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during the Korean War.
Jerry worked for the former Gordon Brother’s Quarry, later known as Martin Marietta. Jerry also later worked at Bob Brown Conservation area.
Jerry passed away in St. Joseph, Missouri on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Black; and two infant sons, one named William Kenneth “Billy” Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Jeannie, of their home; children and their spouses, Glenn Rex (Gail) Reynolds; Ramona (Jeffery) Schaeffer; Donna (John) Mackey and Jennifer (Matt) Meyer; grandchildren, Jeremy (Angela) Reynolds, Jillian (Aaron) Snook, Brandon (Raven) Reynolds, Kodee Schaeffer, Amy Morris, Rebecca Schaeffer, Brian Bowness, Laura Bowness, Daniel (Tiffany) Bowness, Rachael Mackey, Elizabeth Conard (fiancee’ Michael Zwick, and Jeffrey (Courtney) Leach; great grandchildren, Liam, Callan and Charlotte, Jaxon, Ella, Ridge, Amelia and Audree, Jernie and Jager, Hayzen and Hanner, Kiowa, Hawkin and Charlie, MacKensi, Avery and Dakota, Cole and Parker, Landon, Alexander “Lex” and Jensen, Paleigh and Noelan, Ashlyn and Brixton; and sisters, Lola Anno, Alice Molendorp, and Carol Sisk.
Jerry especially enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Family visitation: Friday, November 28, 2025, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, MO. Funeral services with full military honors: Saturday, November 29, 2025, 11:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Interment: Benton Church Cemetery, Forest City, MO.
