Gary Dondlinger, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2023, at the age of 67. Born on August 4, 1956, in Wabasha, to Nicholas and Lois (Olson) Dondlinger, Gary was raised in the community, attending school in Weaver and later graduating from Winona High School.
On June 16, 1990, Gary married the love of his life, Joyce Waletzke. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Gary had a deep passion for farming, cherishing every moment spent tending to his cows. He was a true Minnesota sports fan, always tuning into games on the TV or radio. Gary's genuine personality and friendly demeanor made him well-liked by everyone he encountered. His honesty and hard work earned him a great deal of respect from those who knew him.
For 37 years, Gary dedicated his career to J.F. Brennan, where he showcased his unwavering work ethic and spoke his mind, always staying true to himself. He had a special love for his grandchildren, expressing his patience and devotion towards them. Gary took joy in teaching others about farming and construction, especially his sons, who learned invaluable lessons from his guidance.
Gary also found solace in the exhilaration of snowmobiling and motorcycle rides in his younger years, embracing the freedom these activities brought him. He lived life to the fullest, seeking joy in the simple pleasures and finding fulfillment in the happiness of those around him. His warm smile, genuine character, and extraordinary work ethic will be remembered as his enduring legacy.
Gary Dondlinger will be deeply missed by his mother, Lois; wife, Joyce; children, Ryan Waletzke, Kelvin (Bre) Dondlinger, Mariah (Mathew) Johnson, Levi Dondlinger; grandchildren, Jaidynn, Veronica, Valarie, Iris; Siblings, Edward, Ilene, Cheryl (Geno), Brian (Angie) and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Nicholas; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A visitation for Gary will be on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN from 5pm-8pm. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN, with a visitation starting 1 hour prior to the funeral.
