Joseph Dondlinger Obituary
Joey started his career at his father's business. Dedicating 40 years to "Dondlinger's Garage" and continued onto "Grosenick/Christian INC.". As a machinist within the industrial sector, Joey dedicated many years to his craft, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Joey then retired from Grosenick/Christian INC. Despite his humble educational beginnings, he embraced life's simple pleasures with great enthusiasm and joy.
Throughout his life, Joey was passionate about bowling, relishing the camaraderie it fostered among friends and family. He loved to participate in horseshoe games, sharing laughs and forming lasting memories. A true Wisconsinite, Joey was an ardent supporter of the Milwaukee Brewers, never missing an opportunity to cheer for his team. In moments of relaxation, he found comfort in the lively rhythms of polka music, often tuning into WTTN to enjoy the sounds that brightened his spirit.
Joey is survived by siblings; Margaret (Eldon) Maier, Peter (Pat) Dondlinger, Anna Obriecht, Thomas (Diane) Dondlinger, Flo Pierce, Leo (Chris) Dondlinger; as well as 12 nieces and nephews. Joey is preceded in death by his sisters Mary and Johanna and nephew Andrew.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:30am, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N Silver Maple Ln, Oconomowoc, WI 53066). Visitation will take place prior to service from 10:00am to 11:30am, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery (CHT-L Watertown, WI 53098) at 2:45pm.
Family would like to thank the staff of Shorehaven, specifically Celeste and the night staff for taking such good care of Joey in his final days.
In lieu of flowers family would like donations to be made out to the charity of your choice.
