Gary Duncan, 76 of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Batesville, in the presence of family and loved ones. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas, on April 14, 1949, the son of the late Warren H. and Bertha (Young) Duncan.
During his working years, Gary worked as a warehouse manager for Empire Gas. Gary enjoyed cars, especially muscle cars and Fords. He was a true Arkansan in being a die-hard Arkansas Razorback fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brian Duncan (Becky) of McKinney, Texas, Brent Duncan of Batesville, Arkansas, Brad Duncan (Taylor) of Nixa, Missouri and Heather Riddle (Auryn) of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren Lucian, Lilah, Krislynn, Kaelan, Dreyson, Keaton and Riley; great grandson, Warren; cousins, Vicky Sue Ables of Ash Flat, Arkansas, James Duncan, Tommy Duncan and Danny Duncan, and several family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; David Craig Duncan; and other family members.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service in Southside with Bro. Kevin Jones officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brian Duncan, Brent Duncan, Brad Duncan, James Duncan, Tommy Duncan and Danny Duncan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kaelan Duncan and Denzil Hellesen.
Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery in Evening Shade, Arkansas.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
After the interment, the family will have a time of gathering at the Poughkeepsie Volunteer Fire Station, 4099 AR Hwy 58, in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas.
