Gary Wayne Duncan

Gary Wayne Duncan, 79, loving husband of Nancy Duncan, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2025, surrounded by those he loved most. Born on March 6, 1946, in Georgetown, Kentucky, Gary was the son of the late Gilbert M. and Dorothy Richie Duncan.
Gary was a member of Oxford Christian Church and lived his life with quiet devotion, kindness, and love for his family. One of his greatest joys was caring for his granddaughter, Taylor, during her younger years, faithfully taking her to school, making sure she was always cared for, and filling her days with love and reassurance.
Gary had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Jazzy. Known for his infectious laugh and gentle spirit, Gary treasured time spent with his family, particularly his great-grandsons, who brought him immense happiness. He was truly a family man at heart.
In his younger years, Gary found joy in golfing and was an original member of the mens league formed at Canewood golf course. At the age of sixteen, he publicly professed his faith and was baptized in Elkhorn Creek, a moment that remained meaningful throughout his life.
Gary will be remembered for his warmth, devotion, and the love he so freely gave to those around him.
Besides wis wife, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Dana (Charles Kevin) Long of Georgetown; his brother, Danny Duncan of Georgetown; his granddaughter, Taylor (Blake) Burus; two great grandsons, Duncan Walker Burus, and Rhett Walker Burus.
Besides his parents, he was proceeded in his passing by his daughter, Lisa Todd Duncan; and his special aunt, Pauline Duncan.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow and be be held at 1:00 PM with Kim McIntire and Mark Farris officiating.
