Gary Lee Dyer, 74, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his residence.
He was born in Hardin County, Ohio on April 8, 1951, the son of the late Harold Eugene and Helen Marie (Houser) Dyer.
On July 5, 1974, he married Charlotte Ann (Elliott) Dyer, and she survives in Bellefontaine.
He is also survived by children, Amber Michelle Dyer and Heath Michael (Libby) Dyer, grandchildren, Ian Micheal (Jenna) Schrader, Autumn Lin Dyer, and Charlie Dyer, step grandchildren, Lauren Valdez and Vincent Valdez, great grandchildren, Bexleigh Ann Elizabeth Schrader and Amelia Charlotte Schrader, two sisters, Pam Dyer and Brenda Dyer, his sisters-in-law, Deb (Patrick) Weaks and Mary Jo (Joe) Daniels, and Karen Elliott, and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Wilcoxon.
Gary was a 1969 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and worked for HBD/Thermoid for 42 years before his retirement. He had attended both Quest Community Church, West Liberty and Bellefontaine Grace Church. Gary and his wife belonged to a Native American Rendezvous, a group that participated in historical gatherings honoring the American West. He loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 2 to 4pm in the Rushsylvania Church of Christ (RushChurch), 170 Mill Street East, Rushsylvania, Ohio 43347.
