Mr. Gary Francis Elliot

Gary was born to Mary Smith and Jerry Elliott on January 17, 1980 in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life on December 3, 2018. Gary moved with his family to Clayton, NC from Indiana in 1994. He attended Clayton High School. Gary married his high school sweetheart, Athena Cooke, on May 5, 2001 and they were married for over 17 years. He was an electrician and was employed by Marathon Electric. His favorite pastimes were cooking, fishing, swimming, baseball and playing guitar. Gary loved his family and he leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Athena Elliott of the home; his son, Darryl Elliott, and his daughters, Carys Elliott and Holly Elliott; his brothers, Adam Elliott of Henderson, NC, Jerry Elliott of Goldsboro, NC and Dale Elliott of Wilmington, NC; his mother, Mary Smith and his father, Jerry Elliott; mother-inlaw, Doris Cooke of Selma, NC, brothers-in-law, Timothy Cooke of Clayton and Marcus Royal of Selma, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
