Gary Estridge Obituary

He was born January 11, 1968, in Richmond County, son of the late Joseph Wayne Estridge, Sr. and Martha Steen Estridge.
Gary was loving, kind, and one of those rare souls who never met a stranger. No matter who you were, if you crossed paths with him, you walked away feeling seen, welcomed, and maybe even a little lighter inside.
Gary had this way of making people smile without even trying. He found joy in the simple things and shared that joy with everyone around him. He was playful, clever, and full of surprises. Gary was a reminder that God's gifts come in many forms. His love was honest, and his faith was simple but deep.
Even though Gary faced challenges, he met life with courage and grace. He didn't need to speak fancy words to teach us something powerful. His actions- his smiles, his hugs, his laughter- spoke louder than words ever could.
Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Wayne Estridge, Jr.
Left to cherish his memories are his brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Keisha Estridge of Rockingham; nephews, Adam Estridge, Gregory Estridge, Joey Childers, Brandon Estridge, and Justin Estridge.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rockingham.
The memorial service will follow visitation, beginning at 1:00pm, with Pastor Derrick Jordan officiating. Burial will be held private.
