Gary Lewis Faudere, 74, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Mt. Sterling on September 17, 1948 to the late Herman Lewis Faudere and Daisy Katherine Hollar Faudere.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Ann Faudere of Mt. Sterling; his children, Gary Dean (Shawna) Faudere of Jeffersonville and Tracie (Scott) Guise of Lexington; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Wilson, Hannah Faudere, Chase Faudere, Hallie Guise, and Landon Guise; one great grandchild, Brinley Faudere; one sister, Beverly (Denny) Munday from Owingsville; three brothers, Ronnie (Gertie) Faudere of Owingsville, Rickie (Patricia) Faudere of Owingsville, and Steve (Claudette) Faudere of Owingsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Faudere, Sr.
He was an active member of Reynoldsville Christian Church where he served as an elder. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion for eleven years and was a Master Mason at Bath Masonic Lodge 55.
After many years of owning and operating Owingsville Auto Sales, he embarked on a new career with the Bath County Schools Transportation Department from which he retired in 2014. In his retirement he kept busy doing things he loved with his family and friends. He enjoyed deer hunting, NASCAR, camping, working on cars, and yard maintenance. He especially loved spending time with his dog, Jasper.
Funeral services and Masonic Rites by Bath Lodge No. 55 will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 19, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Brother Doug Routt officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Sharpsburg.
Visitation is after 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Dean Faudere, Scott Guise, Steve Faudere, Ronnie Faudere, Millard B. Petitt III, and Chase Faudere.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Janna Lyman, Burnsey Stewart, Shirley Grimes, Roy Overholser, Jamie Cline, Daniel Routt, Robert Earl Snedegar, Roger Manley, Jimmy Roberts, Denny Munday, Rickie Faudere, and Danny Dale Faudere, Jr.
