Gary Flemmer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 31, 2012.
Gary grew up in Everett with his father Dale David Flemmer. He learned about life with his friends as they grew up together. He had two sisters that grew up with his mother and he loved them very much. He was always there with his friends if they needed a protector and they felt like they had a bunch of brothers. That is how tight he was with his friends. He was a construction worker / equipment operator by trade and a artist and craftsman at heart. His education was through the school of hard knocks but he learned a lot about people. Those that knew him knew a loyal and trustworthy friend who had good looks, charm, charisma and heart. He loved his family and friends and definitely liked the excitement of risk taking. He loved nature, especially the mountains. He had appreciation and respect for the beauty and practicality of it all. He was a huge fan of the military channel and anything that had to do with survival. He knew everything about every war we had troops involved in and every battle they had. He was an X-Box soldier and would spend hours ignoring everyone in the room to accomplish his mission and get to the next level, just to do it again. He moved to the Tri-Cities to be near his family and made a lot of friends here. He was a very special man, a loving brother, father, and son. He gave everyone respect and did not judge people and always looked for the best in them. He will be missed by many and remembered always. We love you Gary and know you will be watching over all those you love and protect. Be in Peace. Gary is survived by his mother Shelly Moran, his sister Susan Story, his daughter Bailey Flannery, his niece Danielle Story and his nephew Dillon Story. There will be a no-host potluck party in his honor to show respects and share stories at the "Tin Hat" in Kennewick Saturday, September 8th at 9 p.m. The band will be playing for him. Please come join his family and friends celebrate his life.
