Gary R. Garmon, born on May 26, 1940, departed from this world on March 26, 2025. He lived a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Gary was a devoted husband to Janet Garmon. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with joy and laughter. His legacy is proudly carried on by his son, Jason E. (Robin) Garmon, and daughter, Dana (Scott) Freebersyser. He delighted in the antics and accomplishments of his six grandchildren: Greg Garmon, Brittany Garmon, Jeff Garmon, Kylie Freebersyser, Lauren Freebersyser, and Laci Freebersyser, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

In addition to his immediate family, Gary is survived by three brothers Larry, David, and Steve and two sisters Brenda and Marsha as well as a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Gary's life was marked by a passion for knowledge as an avid reader, a love for jazz music that filled his heart and home, and an appreciation for classic cinema. However, it was in the moments spent with his grandchildren that he found his greatest happiness, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Ray Garmon; his brother, Ralph; and four sisters, Sharon, Lana, Janet, and Debbie. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who love him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gary’s life during a visitation on April 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. The remembrance of Gary R. Garmon will resonate through the love he shared and the indelible imprint he left on all who knew him.
