Gary L. Gaston March 11, 1944 – July 12, 2025
Gary L. Gaston, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, with interment to follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to visit beginning one hour prior to the service.
Gary was born on March 11, 1944, in McKenzie, Tennessee, to the late Thomas and Alma Ray (Singleton) Dickson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gerldean (Puckett) Gaston, with whom he shared many cherished years.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating honor and commitment throughout his military service. He continued that dedication in civilian life, retiring from Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as a production control specialist in civil service.
A man of deep faith, Gary was a devoted member of Oakland Baptist Church, where he found joy in worship and fellowship. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites and a proud Mason, reflecting his lifelong values of service, brotherhood, and community.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Dwayne Gaston (Amy); grandsons, Chris Gaston, Cory Gaston, and Caleb Gaston; and brothers, Gene Gaston, Hank Dickson, James Dickson, Gordon Dickson, and Robert Dickson.
Gary's legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
With honor and care, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Gary, please visit our floral store.
