Gary Gibson Obituary
Cecilia- A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 1:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Gary Wayne Gibson, 70, who passed away on February 7, 2025 at his residence.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
Gary was born on May 3, 1954 in Bakersfield, CA. He found joy in the simple things-hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. His adventurous spirit and easygoing outlook on life touched everyone who met him. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sons, Marc Gibson and wife Samantha of Vidor, TX and Gregory Wayne Gibson and wife Sophia April Lynn of Arnaudville; daughters, Chelline Carter and husband Jerry of Lafayette, Kathryn Ann Gibson of Henderson; grandchildren, Daniel Carter, Nichole Carter, Christopher Carter, Kelsie Menard, Kaelyn Menard, Michael A. Dischler, III, Zoe Lynn Gibson, Piper Rae Gibson, Ayla Gibson, Genevieve Gibson, Tori Gibson, Meghan Gibson, Loren Broussard, D.J. Gibson, Logan Gibson and Aaron Roth; great grandchildren, Cody Brenke, Charlotte Simon, Cameron Simon, Damien Carter, Leanna Carter, Aiden Bieber, Charli Ray Carter, Emmalyn Rae Cavalier; brother, Harry "Chuck" Gibson, Jr.; one nephew, Chucky Gibson; and his companion of four years, LisaAnn Falke.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Gibson; parents, Harry Everett Gibson, Sr. and Betty June Hunt Gibson; grandsons, Marcus Wayne Gibson, Hunter Wayne Gibson, and Matthew Gregory Carter; and great grandson, Cade Brennan Brenke.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
