Gary changed my life, as I was a few years younger then him I was a hard case and was at the worland boys school, Gary took a special interest in me, he would take me home for Thanksgiving, for Christmas, and he would take me fishing, and yes, he took me out on the boat many times, he showed me that people truly we’re not all bad. He took me around his family his sister remember back I think it was 88 for Thanksgiving. I’m not sure whose house we went to, but his family came there and I felt so. at home. I have a lot of good memories with Gary and I did not know of his passing and was was looking him up to call him and tell him how much he impacted my life.. He used to tell me he played baseball and threw his shoulder out so he couldn’t go to the big show lol. He also showed me discipline and was equally as impacting as his niceness. We never had an argument the whole time I was there and I was there three years so he started out as my counselor. well he worked the dorm I was in and he was more than just turn key when he started, I just wanted to tell him thank you but because I missed him as my eyes are filled with tears, I will think the family because I feel like that’s what he would want me to do. Thank you to his mom and dad and sisters. for raising such a good kid. He passed away at 59 and I’m 56 so there was only a couple years difference when we met. Thank you all so very much and Gary. I love you man wherever you are brother I’ll see you again. Much love and respect John Marcus Barnes
