Mr. Gary Lamont Green was born June 14, 1953, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Robert Bennett and Thelma Green. This fruitful life came to an end on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at V.A. Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Gary accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was a Christian by faith. He was educated in the Nashville Davidson County School System. He continued his education by attending Trevecca College receiving a bachelor’s degree.
Gary enlisted in the United States Armed Forces Branch of the Navy, where he served his country and received an honorable discharge. After his service he was employed as a forklift Operator.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed golf, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Green, sisters, Janice Green and Jeri Green, brother, Daryl Green and son, Troy.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, LaToya Brooks, Gary Green, Jr., Tayma Harden, stepson, Michael, grandchildren, Diamond Pinkston, Anthony Dejon Brooks, Darius, Tyler, JhaTonna, Xavier, Brittany and Trovesha, sister, Sharon Green, nieces, Tray, Shanta, Shayla, Jericka, nephews, Kenneth and Jamont, devoted great-great-nephew, AJ, friends, Melissa, Pam, Nate, Freddy and Charles and a host of other relatives and friends.
