GARY BRIAN HOBBS 5/19/1935-1/11/2023 Gary Brian Hobbs, 87, of Apple Valley, CA passed away peacefully January 11, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born May 19, 1935 in Albany, CA. He worked 24 years for the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department and was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved to travel, especially in his recreational vehicle, spending time on his hobbies of model airplanes and trains and helping those less fortunate. He is survived by his daughter Linda Couraut and husband Francis; son Brian Hobbs and wife Kathleen; grandchildren Iphigenie Mettavant and husband Yannick, Maxence Muller, Michelle Shrewsberry and husband Joshua, Matthew Hobbs and wife Julie and Joshua Hobbs; and great grandchildren Ernestine Mettavant and Samuel Shrewsberry. He is preceded in passing by his wife Diana Hobbs, son Wayne Hobbs and grandson Emilien Muller. Services will be held at Jess Ranch Community Church in Apple Valley, CA on Monday, February 13 at 10:00 AM followed by his interment at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery Ontario, CA at 2:30 PM for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org)
