Gary Robert Holbrook, 57, of Milton, passed away peacefully at his home on May 21, 2025. He was born on December 7, 1967, in Burlington, Vermont, to Sandra Holbrook.
Gary truly lived life to the fullest. He was heavily involved in supporting local youth and high school sports. Whether hard at work or helping friends and neighbors, Gary always showed up—reliable, selfless, and with a smile on his face. He loved playing sports and listening to music, never passing up the opportunity for either one.. He especially loved traveling to visit his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them. Those who knew Gary will remember him as a man with a heart of gold—someone who enjoyed the simple things in life. He was deeply loved and will be missed in ways that words cannot express.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Tamra (Tammy) Holbrook; his son, Jamie Holbrook, and Jamie’s wife, Austin; his daughter, Kayla Witt, and her husband, Kenny; and his two grandsons, Walker and Bodhi. He also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Greta and Kane, who were always by his side, as well as his mother, Sandra Holbrook.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, followed by a memorial service led by Pastor Jeff Cornwell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local youth sports organization of your choice, in honor of Gary’s generous spirit.
