Gary Randolph Howard

Gary Randolph Howard, age 74, passed away on October 15, 2025.
Born on February 26, 1951 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Robert Root and Helen Adams- he lived a life full of light, love, and legacy. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. His time in service was always close to his heart and he was a proud Veteran. After service, he began his career as a truck driver- riding all over the US. Off work and out of service- you could always find him in his true attire blue jeans, flip flops, and Ray Bans, listening to his classic rock music. He was an avid Nascar fan and didn't miss a race. He enjoyed keeping up with little league baseball and had a special love for wood work and older homes. He could see the beauty in things and appreciate their character. What he enjoyed most in life was his family- his greatest accomplishment was his daughter, grandchildren, and most recently his beautiful great granddaughter.
Survivors include his daughter- Tracey & Ed Rella of Valdosta, grandchildren- Taylor Rella & fiancé Andrew Reiss of New Jersey, Tony & Bailey Rella of Tifton, and Cecil Rella of Valdosta, as well as one great granddaughter- Charlotte Rella of Tifton. Gary also leaves to mourn sister- Robyn Lovelace of Arizona, brother- Michael Howard of Virginia, beloved niece- Wana Smyth of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service honoring Gary's life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Reflection Funeral Service Chapel (106 E 12th St, Tifton, GA 31794).
