WADESBORO - On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, Mr. Gary Wayne "Goat" Jones, 66, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, NC.
There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The inurnment will be at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McFarlan.
Goat was born December 6, 1955, in Chesterfield County, SC, and was a son of the late Patsy Lois Hanna and the late Harvey Eddins. He was a graduate of Bowman High School, a veteran of the United States Army, and worked in disaster restoration.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Gary Jones (Kacey Deese) of Hamlet and Chris Jones (Jennifer) and Bobby Jones (Lorie Caudill) both of Wadesboro; their mother, Kimberly Watkins of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Aiden Greene, Conner Jones, Jaxon Jones, Kadence Jones, Wesley Jones (Kourtney), Willow Funderburke, Katie Dennis, Dylan Jones, Kyleigh Jackson, Trenton Jones, William Jones, Kyia Jones, Chasity McLendon, Maddison McLendon, Caley McLendon, and Mason McLendon; his great-grandchildren, Kingsley Jones, and Taylor Jones; his brothers and sister, Kenny Jones (Joanie) of Wadesboro, Ricky Lang of Polkton and Sherry Lang of Altoona, IA and his extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Leavitt Funeral Home, P.O. Box 274, Wadesboro, NC 28170 to assist with funeral expenses.
