Gary L. Kavanagh, 56, of Willmar, died Sunday, October 6th at Cura of Willmar. There will be a visitation from 3-4:00 pm, Friday, October 11th with a prayer service at 4:00 pm at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Following interment in Fairview Cemetery, there will be a reception and time of sharing at American Legion Post #167, Willmar. www.hafh.org
Gary was born July 12, 1968, the son of Ronald and Linda (Hauge) Kavanagh, in Willmar. He grew up in Pennock, graduated from Willmar High School and attended Willmar Vo-Tech for a year. He worked for Eastgate Truck Stop, Helena and Hanson Silo over the years.
He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, throwing bags, camping, ice fishing and spending time with his friends. He was a "Mr. Fix-it," and could build just about anything, including remodeling two family homes. Sitting in his recliner, watching TV and drinking a slushy, surrounded by family would be an ending to a perfect day!
Surviving are his children, Walker (Trenna Jeppesen) Kavanagh of Lake Lillian and Shelby Kavanagh of Willmar; his parents, Ron and Linda Kavanagh and sister, Kris (Rick) Bulthuis all of Willmar. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and grand-dogs, Copper and Ruger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts Betty and Karen, dear friend, Chrissy Smith, and family dog, Hershey.
