Age 62, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, February 24, 2023. Beloved Husband of 27 years to Tracy A. Keeling. Loving Father of Adele (Nick) Perry, Alayna (Tom) DeCola, Weston Keeling and Alexandra Keeling. Cherished Pap of Ava Perry and Christian DeCola. Gary is also survived by 2 Brothers, 3 Sisters, Nieces and Nephews.
In 1999 Gary and his brother Glenn received the first FDA clearance for an intraperitoneal hyperthermia device globally known as HIPEC. This procedure is used by surgical oncologists to treat advanced abdominal cancer and is a standard of care in over 172 prestigious hospitals, including Mass General, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, MD Anderson, and the Mayo Clinic. Gary has invented and patented two abdominal drainage catheters which are used in surgery every day throughout the world. He also developed and patented a chemotherapy sensitizing solution and co-wrote in-vitro and in-vivo study protocols for the solution. Gary attended the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and received a BS in Economics.

Funeral mass Friday 10:30 am in St. Catherine Laboure Parish, St Louise de Marillac Church. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
