Mr. Gary N. Kelley, age 73 of Transylvania Drive in Sandersville, formerly of Franklin, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, after a brief illness.
Mr. Kelley was born in Auburndale, Florida, the son of the late Lewis Cecil Kelley and the late Virginia Rahme Kelley. He was a plumber by trade and retired from Winter Haven Hospital. In his free time, Mr. Kelley enjoyed being outdoors with his dog Abi. He was an avid hiker and had spent a lot of time on the Appalachian Trail. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy and brother, Lewis Kelley.
Mr. Kelley is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Small Kelley; children, Kristen Lewis, and Kyle Kelley (Christina); stepchildren, Geoff Lund (Samantha) and Vanessa Staples (Eric); grandchildren, Paige Wentworth, Brooke Wentworth, Brynna Kelley, Adalyn Kelley, Liam Kelley, Michael Lund, Gage Staples, and Austin Staples; and sisters, Shirley Knight and Marion McKean.
