GARY KERNSTOCK Obituary

GARY KERNSTOCK ALGER - Gary Lee Kernstock, loving husband, father, and dear friend passed away June 3, 2023. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on November 13, 1958, to Edmund and Elizabeth (Sharp) Kernstock. He married the love of his life, Janet Johnson on October 17, 1987. Gary had many enjoyments which include camping, fishing, gardening, and was a lifelong fan of Detroit sports. He never lost hope for the Lions. Gary loved spending time with family and friends but most especially his grandchildren. He was also a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed activities as a youth in 4-H. Gary is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet Kernstock, children, Alicia (Dustin) LaHaie, Catherine (Sam) McCarty, and Kyle (Rachael) Kernstock. He is also survived by grandchildren, Gemma, Levi, and Brynlee. Brother-in-law, Lester Eichman and Beatrice Kernstock. Also, several nieces, nephews, cousins. Gary is preceded in death by parents, Edmund and Elizabeth (Sharp) Kernstock, brothers, Don and Bill Kernstock, sister, Barb Eichman, mother and father-in-law, Fred and Agnes Johnson. Upon Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Moffatt Township Park 1611 Henry St Alger, Michigan. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to his family to help with funeral expenses.
