Gary Franklin King, 71, of Ellerbe, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2025 at his home.
Gary was born September 26, 1954, in Moore County, a son of the late Herbert Franklin and Hazel Gertrude Ritter King. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and hunting and had worked with Southeastern Tool and Die. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christy Hudson King, and siblings, Larry King, Delores Tyree and Sarah Boles.
Surviving are his son, Gary Franklin King, Jr.; grandchildren, Allyson King, Aubrey King and Waylon King, and siblings, Jimmy King, and Janie Boyle.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. The family will receive friends from 9:45 – 10:45 am Saturday at the funeral home. Interment was held privately in Ellerbe Cemetery.
