Gary Dwane Kirkpatrick, 77, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on May 1, 2025. He was born on May 9, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He served as a Sergeant in the Army, and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. After the Army, he served in the Air Force Reserve. When he wasn’t working hard at his career as a truck driver he enjoyed spending time outside with his many animals and exercising his green thumb.
He is preceded in death by his parents R. Dwane Kirkpatrick and Vada M. Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his siblings Kathy A. Kimmick and family, Mayer R. Kirkpatrick and family and Brian S. Kirkpatrick and family.
He is also survived by his daughter Victoria K. Gabrielson and son-in-law Rick Gabrielson and his greatest joy, his grandchildren, Nathaniel and Madeline.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2025 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. Interment at H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery will be private.
