Gary Ladabouche

Rutland Town-Gary Ladabouche, 68, of Rutland, died at RRMC on March 25, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 16, 1957, in Rutland, son of Norman J. and Yolanda (Crosta) Ladabouche. Gary attended MSJ and graduated in 1975 from Castleton State College with a bachelor's degree in business in 1979. After graduation, he worked in the banking industry for many years. He then owned and operated Ladabouche Furniture. He later worked for Castleton University.

Gary married Stacy Erickson in 1997, and they made their home of the last 28 years together in Rutland, Vermont. They were blessed with three children, Jillian, Isabelle, and Conner.

Gary was active in his community. He was a member of Rutland Rotary, and coached youth sports including RAHA hockey and flag football. He enjoyed hockey, golf, pickleball, softball, and was proud of his cycling, especially his participation in the Killington Stage Race. He loved making his outdoor hockey rink ("Chevy Chase Arena") for 10+ years where his kids, friends, family, and neighbors enjoyed countless hours on the ice. Hockey was a true passion for Gary, as he played on the first ever MSJ hockey team.

Gary is survived by his wife, Stacy, and three children, his brother Norman Jr. (Anne) Ladabouche of Rutland, and niece Amy (Andrew) Simonds, nephews Jeffrey (Dana) Ladabouche, and Eric (Kelly) Ladabouche, as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents.

The funeral will be held at Grace Congregational Church on Saturday, March 28th at 10am. Burial will be at a later date.
