Gary Lambert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel of Capitol Hill on Jan. 28, 2026.
Gary Lee Lambert, 70, of Oklahoma City, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Oklahoma City surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Oklahoma City, Gary lived a life defined by service, love, and steady devotion to the people around him. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, and throughout his life he wore many hats-Police Officer, National Guardsmen, Freemason, and Registered Nurse. Gary carried a Patriotic spirit wherever he went: strong, loyal, and dependable.

Above all else, Gary was a father and PaPa. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in each one of them. Whether he was sharing stories, showing up when it mattered most, or simply being a steady presence, he made the people he loved feel safe and cared for.

Gary enjoyed the simple things that made life good-playing pool, riding his motorcycle, and cheering on his favorites while watching football and NASCAR.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Voegle; his father, Roy Lambert; and his daughter, April Dawn Lambert.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Crystal Griffin, and her husband, Travis Griffin; his five grandchildren, Penelope, Rylee, William, Gage, and Ava; his brother, Steve Lambert; along with many cousins, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly. His legacy of service and love will live on through his family.

A service to celebrate Gary's life will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Crossroads Church, 8901 S. Shields Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73149.
