Gary Mac Brown

Gary Mac Brown, 81, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2026. Born on May 30, 1944, in Washington Court House, Ohio, to Ernest "Brownie" Brown and Lena Mae Brown, Gary moved to St. Cloud with his family at just two years old-a place he would always call home and hold close to his heart.

Gary graduated from St. Cloud High School in 1962 and spent his career with United Telephone Company of Florida. He was deeply proud of his roots and his community, staying actively involved with the Silver Spurs Rodeo and showing unwavering love and support for Osceola County .Gary was Coca Cola Cowboy in 2015. He had a true zest for life and a playful spirit; those who knew him best will forever remember his sense of humor, his storytelling, and his love of harmless little shenanigans.

Above all else, Gary loved his family fiercely. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Brown; his children, Jodi Hartmann, Shay Funderburk, and Michelle Shepard (Vinny); his sister, Bezy Brown; eight grandchildren; Amber Gangis (Taylor), Adam Procunier, Vinny Shepard Jr. (Jessica), Mikey Shepard, Rebecca Hartman, Emily, Hartman, Amanda Hartman, Rhett Brown (Katie) and two great-grandchildren: Liam Gangis, Kinsley Gangis. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest "Brownie" Brown, his mother, Lena Mae Brown (Leslie), his son, Wayne Brown, and his sister, Jody Brown.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Rowe of the Saint Cloud Missionary Baptist Church officiating, followed by a gathering at the family home. In honor of Gary's generous spirit, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
