Gary L. McDaniel

Gary Lee McDaniel, 82, of Lakeland, Florida passed away Monday, November 7, 2022.
He was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 28, 1940, to John and Helen McDaniel. He was married to the love of his life, Garnie McDaniel, for 47 years before her passing in 2009. Together they had one daughter, Denise (Roman) Andries.
He retired from General Motors and the U.S. Army, where he served many years in the Michigan National Guard after his active duty ended. He enjoyed his retirement years traveling first with his wife, and in his later years with his dear friend and cruise partner, Art.
Gary is survived by his daughter, grandchildren Angela (Travis) Clark, Roman (Nicole) Andries, and Jessica (Kevin) Schneider, his great-grandchildren, Brianna (Jon), Brittany, Abigail, Jackson, Jett and Laurel and one great-great grandchild, Sawyer. Also surviving are his extended family of in-laws (Diane, Don and Linda, Doug and Joyce, and Jerry), dear friends and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, and siblings.
At his request, no services will be held. A private burial will take place at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
